Is Thai Vietjet Air safe?
Thai Vietjet Air is a Thai low-cost carrier that began flying in March 2015, majority Thai-owned with a minority stake held by VietJet Air of Vietnam. It is a separate airline from its Vietnamese parent, with its own Thai operating certificate and its own safety record. In more than eleven years of service it has had no fatal accidents and no aircraft written off. It is not IOSA registered, which is the main gap between it and Thailand's IOSA-registered carriers, and it is not on the EU Air Safety List. Thailand holds FAA Category 1 status.
